OUR MISSION
Capital Area Psychological Services, P.A. (CAPSPA) was incorporated in 1989 by James L. Hilke, Ph.D., as a provider of psychological services to the Triangle area. Its purpose is to provide quality services through a variety of provider to meet the emotional and psychological needs of children, adolescents, adults, and families. CAPSPA believes that each person’s need to have a more fulfilling and satisfying life is best met in the context of a family-friendly, accepting environment. Working with pediatricians, family physicians, school, and other professionals, CAPSPA strives to provide services that allow the individual of family to make progress in their personal lives. Service providers at CAPSPA come from a variety of backgrounds and educational experiences so that many types of concerns can be addressed. Depression, anxiety, family problems, ADHD, substance abuse, and other difficulties are all concerns which our providers have addressed successfully with clients using a wide variety of methods, including individual therapy, family therapy, play therapy, and group therapy.
